The I, the Window, the Soul
Watch closely as I
pull the shades awhile
wink out the light sink layer
by layer
Those are pearls
that were his eyes
like an oyster
absorb each speck
you plant
Each simple grain of sand
I take great pain
to polish
and one, two, three I, the blind
magician
pop shiny pellets
from my lips into the
hand
of you
my lovely
lovely assistant
