Loose Ceiling Tile Litany
The loose ceiling tile is over
my head--- it lifts ever so slightly and I see
purgatory above me.
The loose ceiling tile is not
loose of its own doing---
it has become that way from
years of unsolicited handlings.
The loose ceiling tile is 10 ft. up...
it is 12 in X 12 in and
contains the whole
of the Library of Congress
within its perforated edges.
The loose ceiling tile is a member
of a 12-step program.
The loose ceiling tile believes in
no other gods before me.
The loose ceiling tile will
fall one day, bringing
everything down to crush my
intuitions.
I am the loose ceiling tile
by virtue of the fact that
I am one geometrical son-of-a-
gun.
