Your Camera Is Off
Your name appears in a box—
just four letters, gray as a stone.
No voice, no flicker, just quiet absence.
I wonder: Are you hiding from cruelty,
from tired eyes, from the fear
that today you won’t be enough?
If you turn it on, you’ll find me here—
face to face, not to grade you,
but to greet you by name.
